Swingingdoor cupboard

Studio Elmo Vermijs designed and built this wall cabinet for his own house. The house is located in Amundsenhofje, a collective of 10 households that developed a former primary school and new part themself.

The swinging doors and beams were harvested from the former primary school, the sleek merantidoors and denuded pinewood beams now serve as a practical wardrobe that looks transparent and friendly through the glass. The cabinet houses the wardrobe, footwear, glassware, crockery etc.
