KISTKAST#3 was presented first to the public during the exhibition 20134 Milano as part of the annual design fair Salone del Mobile in Milan.

CONTEXT

The exhibition 20134 Milano was initiated together with four designers in Lambrate. Studio Elmo Vermijs presented three new designs: Cubelamp, Boldandnuttable en Crate Cupboard#3.

DESIGN

Crate Cupboard #3 originates from the fascination for re-use of materials, mobility and space. Version #3 investigates the relation between the cupboard as use object and autonomous design. Not only the position of the user/viewer shifts, but also through the use of second-hand material, the piece gets another layer of meaning.
